  I hope everyone had happy holidays and a happy new year!

  A couple of people have reported problems when dialing into 206-336-3235.
They are getting no answer, not even a ring or any message.  I have reported
this problem to Worldcom and US West, and I believe it has been fixed.  If
you are experiencing this, please let me know where you are calling from,
specifically the area code and prefix.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

  I would like to schedule some downtime for the news server.  Actually,
news will still be available, the zipcon.* groups will not be up-to-date
though.  I'm going to do an upgrade on the news system.  This will happen
Sunday 1/10/99, and the zipcon.* groups should be back by the end of the
day.

  Please let me know if you continue to have problems, or have any
